Moderation Policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026

DRSR Cart helps people save, share, and revisit shopping intent — privately via link or publicly through Community Carts. To keep the platform useful and safe, we moderate content that appears on the public discover feed (Community Carts).

This policy is short by design. We expect to update it as the platform grows.

What gets removed

Community Carts may be hidden from the discover feed if they contain:

  • Content involving minors in inappropriate, exploitative, or unsafe contexts
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content
  • Content that promotes violence, hate, or harassment
  • Items that appear to be illegal, counterfeit, or sold without proper authorisation
  • Content that impersonates a brand, retailer, or individual
  • Spam, deceptive listings, or content designed to manipulate the discover feed
  • Items that appear to be misrepresented (e.g. a cart titled "wedding outfits" filled with unrelated items)
  • Personal information that shouldn't be public (real names of third parties, contact details, addresses)

Carts that are private (shared via link only, not published to the community) are not subject to this policy. The discover feed is the only moderated surface.

What stays

The default is that Community Carts stay visible. We're not trying to curate taste or judge style choices. A cart of items we wouldn't personally buy is fine. A cart that confuses us is fine. We only remove content that fails the criteria above.

How moderation happens

  1. 1Users can report Community Carts via the "Report this cart" action on the share page
  2. 2Reports land in our admin moderation surface for review
  3. 3We aim to review reports within 24 hours during alpha, but response times may vary
  4. 4Reviewed content is either hidden (removed from discover, original URL still works) or left visible with the report marked as reviewed

If your cart is hidden

If we hide your Community Cart and you think it was a mistake, contact us at info@drsrdresser.com. We'll review the decision. Hidden carts can be restored.

What we can't do

  • We can't moderate private shares (anyone with a link can view them)
  • We can't moderate votes or reactions on individual items
  • We can't moderate the underlying retailers, prices, or product availability — these come from retailer sites, not us

Changes

This policy will evolve as DRSR Cart grows. Significant changes will be communicated to active users.

AI Analysis

DRSR Cart offers AI-powered analysis of your carts as an optional feature you can turn on in Account settings. It's off by default. When you ask for analysis, we send a snapshot of the relevant cart to Anthropic's Claude API, which returns the response to you.

  • What we send: item names, brands, retailers, prices, and aggregate vote counts from friends who reacted to the cart.
  • What we don't send: photos you uploaded, the identities of friends who voted, your email, or any payment information.
  • Retention & training: Anthropic's published policy applies. They do not train their models on data sent via the Claude API by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy for the full terms.
  • How to revoke consent: open Account, flip the "Allow AI to analyze my carts" toggle off. Future analysis requests will be blocked immediately.

When you use Ask AI on a shared cart you own, a collaborative cart, or a published basket, we additionally send aggregate engagement counts (likes, votes) so the AI can summarize community response. We never send the identities of voters, commenters, or collaborators.
